Innovative, profitable, driven businesses, usually under three years old. We consider startups from all backgrounds but give special attention to those actively employing the UN Sustainable Development Goals in their mission.
‍Example: TreeDots, a B2B platform that enables suppliers to redistribute unsold inventory to organizations that need them.

Founder

Seasoned entrepreneurs who have founded or cofounded companies. They should come from established, mature and purpose-driven companies that have an inspiring story to tell, making them excellent role models for aspiring entrepreneurs.
‍Example: Leilah Jenah, founder of Samasource and LXMI, is an advocate for giving work opportunities to disadvantaged people around the world.

Local Hero

Notable people or people you must connect with in the ecosystem.

Investor

Notable sources of capital for startups, such as angel investors or large VC firms, especially investors with a proven track record for funding impact startups. Example: Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN).

Space

Popular coworking spaces where entrepreneurs—especially those intent on founding impact startups—can work and grow successfully. Example: Impact Hub and GreenCubator.

Event

Innovation, Impact and Startup Events you cannot miss, like Meet ups and recurring networking events.
